The phenomena of nature are deeply embedded in Finnish folklore. From Sámi reindeer herding, to myths about boreal forests, these stories are deeply rooted in the country’s storytelling culture. During solo trek through Lapland, I immersed myself in local traditions to discover how storytelling and transmission help to connect the community to nature and retain a curiosity for their surroundings. This series was captured in in collaboration with Levi Lapland.
